Why Choose Us?

If you have an unusual pet…

90% of our patients are unusual pets.

We were the first veterinary clinic in the Melbourne region treating this percentage of unusual pets every day - such as Rabbits, Reptiles (snakes, turtles, lizards, crocodiles), Ferrets, Guinea Pigs, Rats, Mice, Birds and Native Animals kept as pets.

It's what we do all day, every day.

Our team has vast experience in dealing with a variety of species. Our vets have extensive clinical experience with university and postgraduate qualifications in unusual pet medicine and surgery: your pets are in safe hands. All of our nurses have hands-on experience and training in unusual pet care, with a variety of species kept at home.

We are training the next generation.

We are actively involved with training and teaching the net generation of exotic pet veterinarians and nurses. We also provide consultancy advice and veterinary services to various organisations such as wildlife park, government and semi-government departments.

If you have a dog or cat…

Don’t feel you are missing out! We have loyal and dedicated clients who bring their dogs or cats to us. Most of these are long term clients.

  • Long term clients recommend family and friends to us, knowing that our focus is the best of care for their pets

  • Our aim is to build a relationship with you and your pet. We get to know you and you get to trust us with the care of your dog or cat.

  • Being a 'small' clinic we can provide individualised care. You will get to know our veterinarians and nurses - and not see a new face every time you visit. We are not a 'production line' clinic. We are about quality and individual care.
